TERMS OF SERVICE

By using W9 Daily Reminders ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

W9 Daily Reminders is an open-source service that:

  • Connects to your Google Calendar and Google Tasks via OAuth2 with read-only access.
  • Generates daily or weekly email summaries of your schedule using AI language models.
  • Includes optional weather advisories based on a location you configure.
  • Optionally generates AI-created imagery to accompany your daily briefing.
  • Delivers the final email to you via W9 Mail infrastructure.

2. Eligibility

You must have a Google account and a W9 account (via W9 DB) to use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Google API Services

  • The Service uses Google OAuth to obtain read-only access to your Calendar events and Tasks.
  • You grant the Service permission to access this data when you connect your Google account through the OAuth consent screen.
  • You may revoke this permission at any time through your Google Account settings. Revoking access will stop the Service from fetching your calendar and task data, but will not delete your Service settings or cached data (contact us to request data deletion).
  • The Service complies with Google API Services User Data Policy and this notice is provided in accordance with those requirements.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service to send spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or harassing content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or the Service infrastructure.
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without explicit permission from W9 Labs.

5. AI-Generated Content

  • Event summaries and email copy are generated by third-party AI providers (Cerebras or NVIDIA NIM, selected by you). The AI output may not be fully accurate and should be treated as an assistive summary, not a definitive record.
  • Generated images are created by AI image providers (Pollinations.ai or Cloudflare Workers AI, selected by you). Images are artistic interpretations of a creative brief and may not accurately represent your actual schedule.
  • You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it for important decisions.

6. Availability and Reliability

  • The Service is provided "as is" without any guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or reliability.
  • We make reasonable efforts to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
  • Scheduled emails are dispatched on a best-effort basis. Network outages, AI provider downtime, or infrastructure issues may cause delays or missed dispatches.
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice.

7. Data and Privacy

Our Privacy Notice describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your data. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in that notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, W9 Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to:

  • Missed appointments, meetings, or deadlines due to delayed or failed email delivery.
  • Inaccurate or incomplete AI-generated summaries of your calendar events or tasks.
  • Data loss, unauthorized access, or service interruptions.
  • Any third-party services (Google, Cerebras, NVIDIA, Pollinations, Cloudflare) that the Service depends on.

9. Open Source License

The Service source code is available under the GNU General Public License v3.0. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the code in accordance with that license.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.
